Glace Fruit

Fruit and vegetables for Glace products come from many parts of the world - cherries from US, Canada, Italy and Spain, and pineapple from the Pacific Rim. Citron, lemon and orange peels come from the US and Carribean.

Processing

Glace fruit is also called candied fruit, as the #1 ingredient added during processing is sugar.


GLACE FRUIT - GENERAL USE
Glace Fruit is used as a baking ingredient and topping in cakes, breads and squares. Peels are also used in stollen and hot cross buns.
PRODUCT LIFE:
Shelf life is typically 24 months or longer at ambient storage conditions. Ideal storage conditions are 15 to 20 degrees Celcius with 50 to 60 percent RH.
